Free NHS Wheelchairs  

If you need a manual or powered wheelchair for long term use, the NHS will supply and maintain one free of charge. Ask your GP or therapist to refer you to the Wheelchair Service at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton Lane (tel: 020 8487 6084).

If you want to buy a more expensive chair, you can get a voucher equal to the price of the chair you could have got from the NHS. Ask for details of the Wheelchair Voucher Scheme.

Will rent for a charge of £25 per week or £8 per day.
On any item, there will be a delivery charge of £5 within a 10 mile radius.
Wheelchair prices start at approximately £175, and scooters range from £470 to £4500.
