Richmond upon Thames Taxi Voucher Scheme

Door-to door service for people with mobility difficulties, using black cabs and minicabs. Members are allocated a sum of vouchers for the year. Contact the Accessible Transport Unit: 020 8831 6097 or 020 8831 6094.

Buses
London buses are low floor and have ramps. Each bus has room for one wheelchair (maximum 70cm wide, 120cm long). Wheelchair users travel free. Ring Customer Services on 0845 300 7000 to report broken ramps.

Railcard

Road Travel  

Blue Badge Scheme
If you have severe mobility problems the Blue Badge enables you to park free on parking meters and on some yellow lines. To apply for a badge, contact: The Accessible Transport Unit: 020 8831 6096

Disabled Persons’ Parking Bay
To apply for a parking bay, you can download a form from www.richmond.gov.uk and post to: Transport Planning Services Civic Centre 44 York Street Twickenham TW1 3BZ  

Motability
Enables disabled people to use their mobility allowance to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter. www.motability.co.uk
